IFS
The ifs School of Finance is a not-for-profit professional body and registered charity, incorporated by Royal Charter. It is the provider of choice for individuals seeking to improve knowledge, skills and career prospects in the area of finance and financial services.
Its financial capability, regulatory ‘licences to practise’ and higher professional qualifications are directly informed in terms of content and learning experience by the needs of those they exist to educate, and provide seamless progression from secondary school into further education, higher education and careers in the financial services industry.
Financial capability – qualifications for 14-19yr olds
Learning to manage money is an essential life skill. In an era of increasingly complex financial products, difficult economic conditions and record levels of personal debt, helping young people to understand personal finance is more critical now than ever before. The ifs offers a number of qualifications for 14-19yr olds, including GCSE and A-Level equivalents which carry up to 120 UCAS Tariff points.
Professional higher education
The ifs is the only specialist financial education provider able to award its own taught degrees. It offers unique, specialist degree programmes designed for students who are focused on a career in financial services and wish to study for a directly relevant qualification.
Regulatory licence-to-practise
The Institute of Financial Services is a division of the ifs School of Finance. The Institute offers benchmark qualifications that meet the standards required for those giving professional advice on financial products such as retail investments and mortgages.
