Liz Field, Chief Executive |
| Liz joined the FSP in 2009 and has over 20 years experience in skills development and change programmes across banking, insurance, investment and non-financial sectors. She was CEO of the FSP's predecessor organisation, FSNTO which was merged with the Bank and Building Societies NTO and Insurance NTO, and was previously CEO of both these organisations. She was the Head of Organisational Development at Gerrard as part of the turnaround team which led to the incorporation of the business into Barclays Wealth. She has an MSc in Occupational Psychology from Birkbeck, BSc in Psychology from the Open University and is a Fellow of the CIPD. She is also completing her accreditation with the International Coaching Federation as an executive coach. | |

Sarah Thwaites, Deputy Chief Executive |
| Sarah joined the Skills Council as Director of Skills Development in August 2007 and in January 2011 was appointed Deputy CEO. Sarah is the FSP’s resident regulation expert. Prior to joining the FSP, Sarah was Manager of Industry Training for the Financial Services Authority, responsible for the development and implementation of the FSA's Training and Competence requirements. In this role Sarah was also responsible for training the industry on the FSA's rules through workshops, conferences and distance learning materials. After gaining a BA (Hons) in History and Religious Studies, Sarah joined the insurance industry working for Friends Provident, where she gained her industry qualifications; ACII (Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute), before joining the regulatory world in January 1995. | |

Jenny Barber, Head of Education and Careers |
| Jenny joined the FSP in February 2008, following 13 years working in careers guidance and student recruitment in schools, further education colleges and universities. As part of these roles, Jenny developed work related learning curricula and managed work experience programmes, in addition to developing education liaison strategies and mentoring programmes for large employers' corporate social responsibility agendas. Jenny also has supported employers' recruitment initiatives, enabling firms to develop new entrant training programmes. After achieving a BA (Hons) in Education, Jenny successfully qualified as a Careers Adviser, gaining a Post Graduate Diploma in Careers Guidance. | |

Sue Bottomley, Head of Finance, Operations and Performance |
| Sue joined the FSP in June 2007 and is responsible for all aspects of finance and operations. Sue has gained significant experience across the private and not-for-profit sectors. Sue’s previous roles included Audit Manager at a major accountancy practice, Finance Adviser and Company Secretary for both private and not-for-profit companies, including education charities. Sue has also held positions as honorary treasurer and school governor at three local state schools. After gaining a BSc (Hons) in Economics and Accounting, Sue qualified as an accountant and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) | |
Products, Services and Research
Karis Stander heads business development activities, devising products and services to meet our sectors needs in the areas of talent attraction and skills development. She joined in 2008 from Industry Training, the training arm of the Financial Services Authority (FSA), where she was responsible for setting up the e-learning platform as well as the design, customisation and delivery of distance learning programmes both for sale to the industry and for the learning and development needs of FSA staff.
Our skills research, demand statements and other research projects are led by Alistair Hudson. With 20 years international experience at Lloyds Banking Group, Alistair is well placed to understand the skills issues our global sector experiences.
Matt Sanders manages the FSP website and e-communications, ensuring that innovative technology platforms enable the FSP to deliver high quality services to our clients.
Partnerships and nations
Led by Paul McCraith, the partnerships team provides representation across the UK and works with local employers to address specific national skills and talent issues. Paul joined the FSP in 2008 and has nearly twenty years experience working in the Financial Services Sector initially working in direct sales (Hambro Life) but for the majority of the time in a variety of roles with a leading Life and Pensions company (Friends Provident) based in Manchester. Our nation representatives are Angela Connolly in Northern Ireland, Linda Houston in Scotland, and Adrian Lewis and Katherine Notley in Wales.
Education
Jenny Barber leads the education team in the promotion of the sector as a career of choice, the development of talent attraction and recruitment schemes, the production of competency frameworks, the process of qualification approvals and development of apprenticeships. Lynn Bryson, Qualifications Manager has many years experience in developing qualifications at the ifs School of Finance and the CII. Steven Poss, Education Manager is responsible for apprenticeships.
Underpinning the work of the FSP is valuable support given by Catherine Jenkins and Halim Miah in Client Services, Zubair Ali in Finance and Rachael Sharrocks PA to Liz Field.
