Apprenticeships
Apprenticeships are work based learning programmes that enable individuals to acquire the skills, knowledge and understanding required by employers. Apprenticeships consist of a knowledge component, generally a professional qualification, a competence qualification and skills in literacy and numeracy. Employer rights and responsibilities (ERR) are also included. In England, Personal, Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS) is an additional element of the apprenticeship.
Apprenticeships can improve an organisation's productivity and profitability. They are an effective means of recruitment and filling skills gaps and are available for both new and existing employees. We have developed a range of apprenticeships available for use by employers, and are responsible for the issuing of frameworks developed by other organisations. We also deliver a certification service for learners that have completed their apprenticeship.
